Diorite Verde Melograno Natural Stone Mosaic Cutting Strips – 10 × 6 mm

Diorite Verde Melograno is a dramatic natural stone with a deep black and dark olive-green base, animated by irregular ochre, antique-gold and muted green mineral markings. Its dense crystalline pattern gives mosaics depth, richness and a powerful natural character.

This dark diorite works beautifully for shadows, foliage, night skies, animals, architectural details, geometric ornaments and dramatic backgrounds. It combines especially well with white, cream, beige, gold, red, green and pale grey stone.

These natural diorite mosaic cutting strips are prepared for cutting into tesserae and smaller modules. They are suitable for traditional Roman mosaics, artistic panels, ornaments, portraits, tabletops, kitchen backsplashes, wall mosaics and decorative floor details.

Part of the Edelstein Atelier collection of more than 30 carefully selected natural stone colours. The consistent strip profile makes different colours easy to combine within one mosaic.

Natural Stone Characteristics

Diorite is a natural material. Each strip is unique and may contain mineral inclusions, tonal variations, small chips or microcracks. Occasional breakage can occur because of the natural structure of the stone and is not considered a product defect.

Cutting Recommendation

Use mosaic nippers or a traditional martellina to cut the strips into tesserae and custom shapes.

We recommend ordering 10–15% extra material, especially when consistent colour matching is important. Natural diorite may vary slightly between batches.
