Red Travertine Natural Stone Mosaic Cutting Strips – 10 × 6 mm

Red Travertine is a rich brick-red natural stone with warm rust and terracotta tones, lighter mineral areas and a characteristically porous texture. Its irregular surface and natural colour variation give mosaic compositions depth, warmth and an expressive, time-worn character.

This earthy red stone works beautifully for backgrounds, architectural details, landscapes, roofs, ornaments, borders and warm accents. It combines especially well with cream, beige, yellow, brown, green, black and white stone.

These natural travertine mosaic cutting strips are prepared for cutting into tesserae and smaller modules. They are suitable for traditional Roman mosaics, artistic panels, ornaments, tabletops, kitchen backsplashes, wall mosaics and decorative floor details.

Part of the Edelstein Atelier collection of more than 30 carefully selected natural stone colours. The consistent strip profile makes different colours easy to combine within one mosaic.

Natural Stone Characteristics

Travertine is naturally porous. Open pores, small cavities, mineral inclusions and tonal variations are characteristic features of this stone and are not considered defects. Each strip is unique. Small chips or occasional breakage can occur because of the natural structure of the material.

Cutting Recommendation

Use mosaic nippers or a traditional martellina to cut the strips into tesserae and custom shapes.

We recommend ordering 10–15% extra material, especially when consistent colour matching is important. Natural stone may vary slightly between batches.
